Tumescent liposuction is an outpatient procedure and does not require general anesthesia. A tumescent solution (local anesthetic) is injected into the targeted fatty tissue. It firms the fat and numbs the area, making liposuction more comfortable and efficient. Areas that can be treated include:

What areas of the body can be treated with tumescent liposuction?

Unwanted fat can be removed from arms, back, waist, abdomen, neck, thighs, calves, and ankles. Other common areas to remove is bra fat, jawline, and banana roll.

Who is an ideal candidate for the procedure?

Anyone who has stubborn fat that won't respond to diet or exercise. Tumescent liposuction offers life-changing permanent results.

How is Tumescent Liposuction performed?

Patients are anesthetized locally in the treatment area, no general anesthesia is required. The technique involves the use of microcannulas that have a diameter no larger than a q-tip. These cannulas are inserted just below the skin and suction out the unwanted fat.

How long is the recovery process?

Recovery time is minimal, after 24 hours the fluid that was used to anesthetized drains and the patient only has to wear a pressure garment for 1 week. Most patients who get the procedure done on a Friday usually return to work the following Monday.

When do you see final results?

Improvements to the body contour happen immediately, while final results are seen 3-4 months out.
